(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 25. The chairman of the Dairy Products Prices Authority has advised the chairman of the Dairy Board that the basic purchase-price for butter produced for export in the 1970-71 season will be 26.05 c per lb, compared with 24.81 c in the 1969-70 season. The rise of 1.24 c per lb represents an increase of 5 per cent, the maximum allowable under the Dairy Board Act.

Converted into a price for butterfat in cream at the farm gate, the new season’s price will enable dairy companies, on average, to pay to suppliers 28.10 c per lb butterfat, compared with 26.59 c in 196970, a rise of 5.7 per cent.
