OFFICES TO BE BUILT

Management Training The Canterbury division of the New Zealand Institute of Management has bought a house property at 307 Madras Street, near the corner of Kilmore Street, and plans to build an office and meeting rooms on the site. The section of 40.3 perches has a frontage of 92.5 ft and a depth of 132 ft. The area is zoned residential 5 in the Christchurch City Council’s district planning scheme, but the organisation has been given approval for its plan to erect a building which will be educational in character. The division has launched an appeal to raise $60,000 for development of the property. The land and house on it have a Government valuation of $11,500. The purchase price was not announced but is believed to be more than $16,500. The institute is an association of companies and individuals interested in improving the standard of management. The national body was formed in July, 1945, and the Canterbury division was set up about the same time, it now has 230 company members and more than 700 individual members. | The sale of the property I was negotiated by Sherris land Wilson, Ltd.
