WELLINGTON, June 12.

The Imperial Defence College, London, will send a group of 16 officers from the British defence and civil services, the Commonwealth, and Allied countries to visit New Zealand and Australia next month.

The group, under the leadership of Major-General V. F. Erskine Crum, is expected to be in Australia from July 8 to 18, and from July 18 to 24 in New Zealand. The party will visit Christchurch, Queenstown, Wellington, Hamilton, and Auckland. They will be briefed by New Zealand authorities on foreign policy, defence, industry, and commerce. They will also visit. Lincoln College, and thermal and forestry areas.

The purpose of the course is to give the officers an opportunity to study national and international security and strategy, international relations, and public policy related to defence and security.
