Pulp Contracts Worth sl9m
IN Z Press Association* AUCKLAND. June 12. Contracts worth $l9 million for the supply of 30.000 tons of chemical pulp a year to Japan. Taiwan and the Philippines. have been negotiated by the Tasman Pulp and Paper Company. Ltd. Kawerau.
Announcing this today. Tasman’s Managing Director. Mr A. Ireland, said: “The contracts are for a period of five years with deliveries starting at the beginning of 1973 following completion of Tasman's $35 million pulp mill expansion “Negotiations were conducted on behalf of Tasman by Mr J. C. Mulqueen, the Commercial Manager of Bowater Paper Company (N;Z.), Ltd. “Tasman has long regarded Asia as an important market and these new contracts are an extension of the company’s current sales of pulp, newsprint sawn timber and sulphate turpentine to that area.” Mr A. Ireland said.
