(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) LE MANS.
The Australian, Jack Brabham, was unhurt yesterday when his car collided with another during the final practice for this week-end’s Le Mans 24-hour endurance race.
The driver of the other car, Dieter Spoerry, of Switzer-' land, was also uninjured. His Porsche 908 crashed and burst into flames after colliding with a Matra driven by Brabham. Brabham’s car was only slightly damaged but Spoerry’s, entered by the Martini racing team from West Germany, was heavily damaged. Brabham said that the Porsche pulled over to the left to allow him to pass, but just as he was drawing ahead, it moved to the right, touched the back end of his Matra, and bounced back into the roadside guard rail at the start of the fifth straight
