ROTORUA. The professional middleweight boxer K. Mahanga (Tokoroa) is rated No. 7 in the British Empire, according to his manager, Mr P. Hannan. Mr Hannan, speaking on the eve of Mahanga’s departure for Australia, where he will meet J. Kramer (Britain) next Monday evening, said Mahanga could be on the road to a possible British Empire title.
“Kramer’s got almost 100 fights under his belt, but Mahanga can take him,” Mr Hannan said.
