Church Choir To Give Concert
The Oxford Terrace Baptist Church choir will give a concert at the church on Saturday evening to raise funds for improvements to its organ.
Five well-known soloists— Heather Taylor, Anthea Moller, James Cahill, Anson Austin and Rpdney Macann—will take part The choir of 54 members Will be conducted by Mr D Sell, and solos will be played by the organist, Mr R. Kent The pianist will be Mr W Woodley The programme includes anthems composed by, or associated with, monarchs of the sixteenth century, and music by Stravinsky and Messiaen. The major work will be Schutz’s “Seven Last Words From the Cross.”
