Mr J. E. Hartstonge has been appointed general manager of the Tourist and Publicity Department, to succeed Mr R. S. Austin, who will retire next month. Mr Hartstonge became deputy general manager in 1968.—(P.A.). Major R. T. V. Taylor, of* Taumarunui, has been appointed second-in-command of the Anzac Battalion serving with the First Australian Task Force in South Vietnam. He will relieve Major N. A. Wallace, of Papatoetoe who will return to New Zealand next month after 12 months active service with the Anzac Battalion.—(P.A.), Mr P. Fleming, of Sydney, has been appointed the Australian representative of Mount Cook Airlines. He will be based in Sydney. Previously Mr Fleming was with the Government Tourist Department, which he joined in Dunedin in 1962. He was transferred to the depart-' , ment’s Sydney bureau in 1967..
