Mr J. E. Hartstonge has been appointed general manager of the Tourist and Publicity Department, to succeed Mr R. S. Austin, who will retire next month. Mr Hartstonge became deputy general manager in 1968.—(P.A.). Major R. T. V. Taylor, of* Taumarunui, has been appointed second-in-command of the Anzac Battalion serving with the First Australian Task Force in South Vietnam. He will relieve Major N. A. Fleming, of Sydney, has been appointed the Australian representative of Mount Cook Airlines. He will be based in Sydney.
