Dispute At Longburn
Sir, —In the recent Longburn dispute it was stated that two men were dismissed for sitting down on the chain. Could you inform me if it is not the case that they were sitting on the bench ox tables where the meat is cut up? The Health Department taken much trouble to keep our freezing works in hygienic condition in order to comply with overseas trade specifications.—Yours, etc, E. M. ATKINSON. February 2, 1970.
(The management of the Longburn Freezing Works was invited to comment. No reply has been received.]
