Sunday
Sir, —More and more, Sun-1 day is becoming a busy day for too many people: morel organised sport, and more open shops. Everybody needs; one day in seven for a let-up i In a city this can be secured! best by everybody agreeing upon the same day; and Sun-| day has long been our choice.! So the city fathers have a; duty (and so have the: churches), to secure this one; day as far as possible as a rest day. No need for people] to sit at home twiddling their i thumbs. There are plenty of ways in which the needed rest! may be secured; not the same; ; way for all, because the week’s work differs so widely: lin its demands on us. Each: | man must find his own way of resting: but we all must guard against Sunday becoming another busy, exhausting day. Community (and individual) health alone requires . it.—Yours, -etc., W.T.B.
