WOOL SALE AVERAGE 26,4c Per lb
The average price for wool sold at the last Christchurch ! sale on February 23 • was 26.4451 c per lb. according to I figures issued the secretary of the Christchurch Woolbrokers' Association (Mr M. C. Tipping). This was just more than Lsc per lb less than the average for the January sale—a drop of more than 5 per cent —and almost 16 per cent less than for the February sale last year when the average was 31jc. A total of 26.115 bales containing 9.260,5731 b net of wool was sold for a gross return of $2,448,970.21. This was an! .average of $93.78 per bale.
