Monowai A Shows Promising Form

Monowal A, which wilt contest the New Zealand final of the senior women’s inter-club i Dustin Cup softball championship at Dunedin next week-end, showed that it is rapidly approaching top form when it beat Christchurch West, 20-13, on Saturday. Monowai A 20, Christchurch West 13 Monowai A beat Christchurch West comfortably in spite of a seven-run batting rally by the loser in the final innings. Monowai A made light of Christchurch West’s three-run handicap by tying the scores with its first turn at bat. Good batting came' from B. Makinson, L. Leask, B. Turbott, and J. Moher.
