Yachting Title Suggested

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. A new New Zealand championship to boost intermediate ageclass yachting in New Zealand was proposed yesterday by the convener of a research sub-com mittee of the New Zealand Yachting Federation, Mr H. H. Wagstaff. The new plan, discussed by the federation's national council, is known as the “intermediate yachting championship of New Zealand." It aims “to bring together in annual competition the best crews from the various recognised classes providing intermediate age-group yacht racing in New Zealand/* Each contest will be held in boats of a selected class. These classes, known as “recognised classes,’’ would rotate between Junior Cherub, Sunhurst. R.F.S. and Mistral. The contest would fee held in a different firovtneia! <rea each year, and would be open to yachtsmen under 20, said Mr wagstaff.
