Hill, yesterday took a three-stroke lead in the third round of the Doral open golf tournament after his close rival had trouble in the water at the eighteenth hole. Hill, whose brother, Dave, was second leading money-winner last year, shot a three-under-par 69 for a three-round total of 208. J. McGowan was within one shot of the leader after having birdies on the sixteenth and seventeenth, but he hit his tee jshot into the water at the and had a two-over, finishing with a 69 for a total of 211.
