The Windsor foursome, P. Patterson, O. Moore, A. Richards, and H. Adams, made the most of the heavy l rain in the morning yesterday to win the third Windsor open stroke golf championi ships on the club course yesterday. Playing in heavy rain in the morning rounds they scored a net 18-hole total of 213 for the best three cards and the score was not beaten again during the day although conditions) were excellent during the after-, noon. In spite of the dreadful conditions in the morning some' of the best golf was played then. Only 42 of the 104 players) returned better cards in the afternoon. J. Lineham (Waimairi) led) the field through the first 1S ! holes with the best individual score of 65 net. He had a 38) on the outward nine with one, birdie, but on the home nine: and in the heavy rain he scored four more birdies and returned a 34.
