N.Z. App roves League Cup

AUCKLAND. New Zealand will be a definite starter if the next Rugby league World Cup competition is staged in England in October and November this year. The president of the New Zealand Rugby league (Dr L. J Cooney) commenting on a report from England on World Cup dates proposed by league’s international committee, said today the international committee would not make a final decision on a World Cup series this year until it received the opinions of countries that would compete. “We were planning to send a New Zealand team to Britain this year, anyway,” he said.
