Flock Rams Sell Well At Ashburton

The top price in the Borde Leicester section was onl; $77.50 but many of the sheej were sold for $5O or more The top price in the whole 0; the flock ram section, whicl was also top price of the fair was $l5O paid for a Scutl Suffolk ram. The vendor wai Mr F. J. Amos, who sold foul South Suffolks at an average of $78.50. The top price for I South Suffolk last year wai $67.50. Two sheep brought the toj price of 5145 in the stud ran section. One was a South-Dorsel Down stud ram entered by H M. and D. H. King, Winchmore and bought by P. J. Wright Winchmore. The other stud ran was a Border Leicester entered by R. J. Low and Sons, Methven and purchased by J. L. Doig. Chertsey. The stud ram section was limited and only the top sheep were sought. South-Dorset Down dock rami met a ready sale and Mr D. N Campion sold six at an average price of 571. In the Ryeland section most pens were sold but buyers were selective in their purchases. South Suffolks were in demand and Border Leicesters met a sound sale. The better quality sheep in the Southdown section sold well but buyers were limited. Buying power for Southdown-Border Leicester cross rams was limited but they
