I The big race is s mile and a 1 naif and a stiff test on the Pukekohe course which since being remodelled favours strong finishers Both Highland Rebel and Johnny Cash have been successful already over the distance 1 and it is on the score of stamina that they will probably be so much superior this time. Highland Rebel and Johnny Cash are the top weighte with Sst 11 lb and 9st 31b respectively and they will be called on to give away fairly considerable amounts to the light-weights. Their hardest opponents might be Springlo <8»t), Arraluca '7st 41b) and Toytime <7st «b>. springlo's form at Te Aroha last Saturday was too bad to be 'rue and he has galloped impressively since.
