DYE THROWN INTO POOL
Press Assn—Copyright SYDNEY.
Demonstrators threw four parcels of black dye into the Drummoyne swimming pool last night while the Australian swimming championships were being held. They were protesting against the Australian Swimming Union’s decision to send an eight-man team to South Africa next month.
The dye discoloured the water and the swimmers requested that races be delayed until the water settled as it could upset their judgment.
