Ice-breaker Trapped
(N.Z.P.A. ’Reuter—Copyright) ' TOKYO, February 26. The Japanese ice-oreaker ] with 223 people aboard, has been trapped in thick ice in | the Antarctic. The 7760-ton ship, which lost all four blades of her : right screw yesterday, is about 70 miles from the open : sea and is waiting for the : ice conditions to improve! before making an attempt to ■escape.
