Cinema Charges
Sir, —Could an explanation be given as to why $l.lO a seat is being charged (ih the circle) to see the film, “Easy Rider”? These prices are understandable for a “high budget” film, but “Easy Rider'' is a very low budget film, costing only $450,000 to make. An American low budget film is one made on a budget, of less than s3m; a high budget film is made on, a budget of slom to s2om.—Yours, etc., FILM FAN. February 10, 1970. [Mr R. W. Kivell, general manager for New Zealand of Columbia Films, had no comment to make on the letter.]
