Soil Moisture
Th* Winchmore irrigation research station reported yesterday that the soil moisture deficit on the non-irrigated area on the I station was 204 points comj pared with the same figure at the same time last season. The defieit has now been 200 points or greater on 51 days this season compared with 36 last season. On the irrigated area the deficit was 18 points. This area was last irrigated on Monday and can next be irrigated on March 9.
