Sheep Breeds’ Symposium
A sheep breeds’ symposium will be held at the A. and P. showgrounds at Fairlie on Monday beginning al 10.30 a.m. It will be conducted by Young Farmers’ Clubs in South Canterbury, Representatives of breed societies will be present and in particular the Romney, Corriedale, Drysdale and Coopworth breeds will be featured. Dr R. W. M. Johnson, of Lincoln'College, will discuss the economic future of sheep and proceedings will be summarised by Mr Roland Clark, of Springburn. In the evening, addresses will be given by Mr J. Clarke, a member of the Wool Board, and by Mr A. Frazer, representing the Meat Board.
