Aquameter At Lyttelton
Mr A. F. Woodroffe and Mrs R. C. Moody, in the Auckland runabout Aquameter, left Picton shortly after 9.30 a.m. yesterday to continue their interrupted journey to Lyttelton. according to the Press Association. They arrived at Lyttelton about 5.45 p.m. They left Onehunga early on Tuesday morning with the intention of travelling nonstop to Lyttelton, but ran into a fresh southerly breeze shortly before rounding Cape Egmont. The seas in Cook Strait became increasingly choppy and they entered Queen Charlotte Sound for shelter and came on to Picton for rest after the 191-hour trip.
