Seventy players entered for the A grade women s field day held by the Canterbury Lawn Tennis Association at Wilding Park yesterday. Mesdames B. McGee and A. Kile (Burwood Park* won with 36 points. Other scores were Mesdames F. Hindson and D. Pengelly (Edgeware) 32, Mesdames E. Baird and N. Henderson (Riccarton Domain) 31, Mesdames K. Flaus and L. Crawford (South Brighton), 30.
Record Round.—-A. Murray /Australia) scored a seven-under-par 64 in the Singapore pro-am golf tournament yesterday, to set a record for the 6715-yard Bukit course, where ithe World Cup tournament was 'played last year. The old record of 65 was held by the I United States open champion, L. Trevino, and R. de Vincenzo • (Argentina). Murray had eight Ibirdies.
