Bolt Gun Injury
A man injured in an accident with a bolt gun on a construction site at 81 Buchanans Road about 3.57 p.m. yesterday has been admitted to the Christchurch Hospital. He is Robert John Aitchison, of 54 Simeon Street. Mr Aitchison suffered a puncture wound on his left side and lacerations to his left arm. His condition is satisfactory.
Sirl Unfit.—The Auckland 1500 and 5000 metres champion, D. Sirl, has withdrawn from the national athletics championships this week-end because of stomach influenza. He was to I have competed in the 5000 ( metres and was one of thei favourites. |
