Missile Scare Tn Texas
(N Z Press Assn.—Copyright) BRENHAM (Texas), February 13. Some residents of Brenham, in central Texas, left their Ijomes today while military and civil authorities tried to return an overturned Polaris missile booster to the road. Officials from a nearby United States Air Force base said that there was some danger of the 30,000)b of solid fuel in the booster exploding while attempts were being made to right the special trailer carrying the booster. Residents within a mile radius of the scene were asked to leave their homes while the work went on, and no radio transmissions were allowed within a mile until all was well. The truck overturned when one of its tyres exploded.
