PARACHUTE WINNER
(N.Z. Press Association) MASTERTON. The winner of the individual accuracy section of the twelfth Rothmans New Zealand parachute championships being held at Masterton this week was W. Ashworth, of the Manawatu Skydiving Club. with 337.5 points out of a' possible 400 I. Drinkwater (Wellington), jumping yesterday from more than 2000 ft. landed on the 10centimetre disc to record a full 100 points. Minutes later, another Wellington competitor, F. Sarsfield. also landed on the disc. This was the first time the feat had been achieved in an New Zealand competition. Final placings: Ashworth, 337.4 points. 1: T. Delaney (Nelson), 332.9, 2; H. Martin Leverson (Rotorua). 303.3. 3; Drinkwater, 278.2, 4; C. Rofe (Manawatu). 267.2, 5; Sarsfield 259.4, 6.
