Israeli Jets Near Cairo
I *(N Z P.A -Reuter—Copyright) TEL AVIV. Feb 12. Israeli jet aircraft attacked Egyptian military establishintents on the outskirts of I Cairo today. The strikes, the tenth and eleventh deep penetrations in,to Egyptian air space in five ■ I weeks, took the raiding air ! I craft close to Cairo Airpor’; ' and across the Nile to a tar-' ' get near the huge industrial ! l complex of Helwan. 'I Israeli aircraft also made! '! a third raid, against Egyptian 'targets in the central sector j of the Suez Canal. >1 The pilots reported scoring' i| direct hits on their targets, i 1 which included an ammunition and equipment store i about 12 miles north of Cairo, I i a radar station 25 miles west of the Suez Canal, and a military camp south-west of Hei wan. A government spokesman in Cairo said that 50 Egyptian factory workers were killed and 69 wounded after one of the raids near Cairo.
