Bronze Charge Picked

Bronze Charge, in the Second Tahuna Handicap, should be one of the better prospects among a strong team to be paraded by the Belfast trainer, C. S. Donald, on the first day of the Nelson Trotting Club’s summer meeting today at Richmond Park. Bronze Charge looked most unlucky when he finished sixth behind Valencia in the Summer Handicap at Addington Raceway on Wednesday evening. Bronze Charge was badly placed well back in the field until late in the race and he made ground strongly towards the end. He will have to show very little improvement to beat this field. True Forbes, which has gained a win and a fifth from three starts last season, will be making a fresh start. He looked most promising and might run Bronze Charge to a close decision. Our Guy, Orbette, Soldato, Roberta, and Roseland King should also add interest to the finish. The T.A.B. concession double will be on the Nelson Cup and the Tasman Handicap, Broadway Belle and King Dillon forming a likely combination.
