HIS GRACE SOLD

"The Press” Special Service WELLINGTON. The West Derby stallion. His Grace, has been sold to a breeder in Thailand. Announced yesterday, the sale occurred because of a lack of patronage for the Knight’s Romance horse. As usual in the case of New Zealand-bred stallions, His Grace had an uphill battle in spite of being a classic winner (Wellington Guineas), and the Thai offer was reluctantly accepted by his owner. Mr A. E. Preston. Bred in 1961, His Grace is a chestnut son of the Ruthless mare. Bambina. He won three handicaps at two and in nine starts as a three-year-old won five and was three times second, including to Trial Offer in the New Zealand Derby.

His Grace has been bought by Major General Prasong Sakdisubba, a Royal Bangkok Turf Club administrator.
