Fishing Rivers
The Hurunui, Waimakariri mouth and Hinds Rivers were all clear and fishable, according to a report received yesterday from the North Canterbury Acclimatisation Society. The Waimakariri gorge, Ashley and Selwyn Rivers were fisbable, the Rakaia gorge and mouth and the Ashburton and Rangitata were dirty, and the Waiau was discoloured, but clearing.
Trial Venu*.—lt is now proposed to hold the final Commonwealth Games road cycling trial at Easter week-end over the Trig Boad circuit In Auckland. Originally, the trial waa to have been held at Palmerston North.
