BY-ELECTION AT BLENHEIM

Nominations Closed (N.Z. Press Association) BLENHEIM, January 29. Four candidates will contest the Parliamentary byelection in Marlborough on February 21. Nominations closed at noon today. The candidates are: I. J. Brooks (Labour), C. S. Emeny (Country Party), G. R. Kerr (Social Credit), and A. W. Shand (National). Mr Brooks and Mr Kerr stood against Mr T. P. Shand at the General Election. Mr A. W. Shand is the only son of Mr Shand, whose death necessitated the by-election.
