Execution Of Cubans
GV.Z.Put.-keuter—Copgrig ht> HAVANA, Dec. 8. Four anti-Castro Cuban exiles who led a 10-man landing in eastern Cuba earlier this year were executed by firing squad last night, it was reported today. A report published in “Juventud Rebelde,” Havana’s Sunday newspaper, said the group sailed from United States territory and landed on May 3 in Macambo district, near the United States military base at Guantanamo, in eastern Oriente province. “The infiltrators brought instructions which included plans to sabotage railways, sugar mills, sugar cane plantations, industries, roads, electricity cables, and other economic installations in the Guantanamo zone,” the newspaper said. Three other captured men were each sentenced to 20 years gaoL The other members of the group were killed by security forces when they landed, the report said.
