TOO MANY TOHEROA
N.Z. Press Association AUCKLAND, Dec. 5. After a 17-mile car chase In which speeds of 60 m.p.h. were reached, a toheroa protection patrol officer found that a man had taken 1302 toheroa from Muriwai Beach, on November 11, the Helensville Magistrate’s Court was told today. Ronald Joseph Miles pleaded guilty to a charge of having an excess number of toheroa.
Mr M. L. Morgan, S.M., imposed a fine of $250 with $5 costs. The legal limit for toheroa is 30.
