Candidates should have good degree qualifications In economics, agricultural economics, commerce or business administration, previous experience of agriculture, while an advantage, Is not necessary. The grade of appointment will depend on applicant's qualifications and experience. Apart from general courses In economic theory, the department teaches specialised courses to international economics, econometrics, agricultural marketing, and economics of agricultural production and policy. The successful applicant would be expected to assist to the teaching of general courses and to teach a specialised course or courses for which his qualifications are appropriate. Attached to the department of agricultural economics and marketing is the agricultural economics research unit, from which research grants and assistance are available for research projects Initiated by members of the teaching staff.
