RARE PAINTINGS AUCTION The Auction Sale of rare and valuable paintings conducted by R. G. BELL and CO. in their Gallery at 169 Gloucester Street this week was the best by far of any the firm has conducted, reflecting of course the groat interest being taken in art here at the present time. Paintings by N.E, Artists Vera Cummings and C. D. Barraud topped the sale at 81000 each, whilst a J. Gully realised 8875 with other works reaching prices in close proximity. Mr Bell will be conducting another auction in the New Year and invites further entries. Do not hesitate to phone him at 62-026 if you need further particulars or advice. —Advt
