PACIFIC FILM

N.Z. Scenes To Be Included (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Oct. 14. A five-man American film crew will leave New Zealand this week after two weeks of filming scenes for inclusion in a film on the tourist attractions of the South Pacific. New Zealand’s contribution to the film and the cost of its showing in the United States this year is $75,000. Other countries participating in the promotional effort are Australia, Tahiti, New Caledonia, Fiji and Papua-New Guinea. Such films have been shown on the American tourist market for several years. The aim is to sell a “grand tour” of the Pacific to persons who might consider the air fares to one of the countries prohibitive.
