FACTORY FIRE

Plea Of Guilty Withdrawn (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Oct. 15. A storeman who last week admitted wilfully setting fire to a factory was today given leave to withdraw his plea of guilty. Counsel, Mr W. Finn, said the accused had not had legal advice when he entered his original plea. He was 19, not 21 as shown in the information. “It seems that a psychiatric report would be of assistance,” Mr Finn told Mr W. J. Meade, S.M. The plea of guilty was withdrawn and the accused was remanded to October 29. Interim suppression of name was continued.
