Demonstration To Engineers

A firm which started in 1957 now expected an export order worth $300,000 for its newest air-conditioning plant, a gathering of about 70 heating, ventilating, and airconditioning engineers was told last evening. The firm, Temperature Control, Ltd, of Auckland, held the meeting at the Canterbury Building Centre to introduce its range of airconditioning systems. Most of the firm’s exports were to the Pacific Islands, the governing director (Mr E. L. Kendall) said. It manufactured under licence to American companies, including the company that built the Apollo 11 capsule, and also built equipment designed by its own engineers. The display will remain at the Building Centre for two days, before moving to Wellington.
