Smrkovsky Removed

Mr Josef Smrkovsky, the former and supporter of Mr Alexander Dubcek, was today removed as chairman of one of the two Czechoslovak houses of Parliament.
The Czechoslovak Ceteka news agency said that Mr Smrkovsky accepted in writing a party decision last month ordering Communist deputies to relieve him of his parliamentary functions.
