Cuba Street Mall Opens

WELLINGTON, Oct. 14.
The Cuba Street Mall in Wellington was opened today. It is the first conversion in Wellington city of a traffic route into a pedestrian precinct. Occupying one block between Dixon Street and Ghuznee Street the mall is lined with brightly coloured benches, telephone booths, and flower beds.
