1:8 Premium Issue By Dow
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, October 14. Consent to an issue of equity capital has been given Ivon Watkins-Dow by the Minister of Finance (Mr Muldoon), the directors announced. The new issue will raise $400,038, which together with a debenture issue to be made later will provide funds for expansion programmes. Shareholders registered as at 5 p.m. on October 17, will be entitled to participate in the new issue in the proportion of one new share for each complete eight held. The shares will be issued at a premium of 50c and will participate in half of the dividend payable in respect of the year to June 30, 1970. The issue has been underwritten.
