SEABED TO SPACE
U.N. Assembly Problems (N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) NEW YORK,. Oct. 13. Problems ranging from the seabed to outer space face United Nations General Assembly delegates launching the first full week’s business of their session today. The week-end blastoff of five Soviet cosmonauts—and the chance of their building a space station—calls for an early definition on the uses of outer space. Another major issue facing five main committees starting work today concerns peaceful and productive use of the world’s seabed. Scheduled to meet today Is the Special Committee, one of the chief Assembly bodies, which is charged this year with key questions such as disarmament.
Another perennial issue before the committee—and one that never fails to incense both sides in debate—is the question of Korea.
