Y-TEENS CAMP
Successful Week-end A get-together for 16 YTeens from Wellington and a group of Young Women's Christian Association members from Christchurch at the, Y.W. Camp at Spencerville proved a highly successful week-end. The Wellington group was accommpanied by the’ Wellington programme director. Miss Helen Woods, and the Christchurch girls were lead by Mrs Joan Kennington, of the Christchurch Y.W. Mrs Kennington was impressed with the Y-Teens she met and worked with during her recent trip to the United States and she is hoping to get clubs going strongly in New Zealand. She used some ideas gained from overseas in the programme at the week-end. The girls enjoyed folksinging, informal discussions and sunbathing. A few even went swimming. The girls were given a demonstration of silk screen work by Mr E. Butler, and later tried their hands at the art.
