Sentence For Rape
<N.Z. Press Association? GISBORNE, October 7. An increased sentence of imprisonment was imposed by the Chief Justice (Sir Richard Wild) in the Supreme Court in Gisborne today in a new trial of William John Scott, aged 27, who pleaded guilty to two charges of rape.
His Honour said the sentence must reflect the revulsion /of the community against the offence committed. He sentenced Scott to four years and a half imprisonment
