' Yachtsman Of Year’
(N X. Press Association) WELLINGTON. The One Ton Cup winner skipper, C. Bousaid (Auckland). has been awarded the Sir Bernard Fergusson Trophy as New Zealand "Yachtsman of the year." The Governor-General (Sir Arthur Porrltt) made the announcement at the annual meeting of the New Zealand Yachting Federation. The 36ft Sparkman and Stephens designed, New Zea-land-built and sailed yacht. Rainbow IL was first in four out of five races to win the cup in unbeatable style from a tough international fleet off Heligoland earlier this year. "I feel extremely sorry for the other nominees who were put up this year.' because it was so obvious that the man who had done most for yachting, apart from being the most successful yachtsman as a secondary consideration, and I am sure you will all agree with this, was Chris Bouiaid,” Sir Arthur Poi-rett said.
