Surprise Win In Snooker

(N.Z. Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH. The Southlander, L. Glozier, scored an upset win over the title-holder, L. Napper (Otago), in the final of the national snooker championship on Saturday. Glozier took the first frame, Napper the second and third, and Glozier the next three, to win 64-33, 20-87, 34-76, 68-38, 59-33. In the semi-finals, Napper beat B. Kirkness (Canterbury), 4-1, and Glozier defeated B. Bennett (Taranaki), 4-3.
