New Winner Of Ski-ing

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. J. Armstrong, a Hawera skier now studying at Victoria University, has been declared the North Island ski champion for 1969, on the disqualification of the provisional winner, D. John, of Stratford.

The chief judge for the championships, Mr S. H. Blakely, said yesterday that John had missed a control gate during the slalom.

The new winner of the slalom is R. Dorflinger, also of Stratford, and Armstrong is promoted to first on the combined results of all events with G. Payne (Auckland), moving up from third to second.
