No Price Rise By B.H.P.
(N.f P.A. Staff Correspondent) MELBOURNE, Sept. 21. Broken Hill Proprietary, Ltd, today denied any knowledge of a price increase in the company’s products. An official spokesman for the firm said in Melbourne: “There are no present plans to increase prices." He described New Zealand rumours that prices were to be raised as “quite unjustified.” B,H.P. last lifted its prices by an average 2 per cent on January 1 this year.
